Upbringing of the child up to one year: the main advice for parents

Parenting is best starting from the first weeks of his life. From birth to the year is the time of active physical development of the baby, its adaptation to the environment and the acquisition of experience. Only twelve months will be needed for the crumb to learn to smile, to agout, to recognize the voices of parents, to distinguish intonations and to react to their mood. During infancy, parents focus on adherence to nutrition and proper care, but the upbringing of the child should also not be forgotten. It is up to a year at the subconscious level that the basic habits of the baby are laid, its propensities and personal characteristics are formed. The further development of the child largely depends on the upbringing of the child up to a year. Conditionally, this period is usually divided into 4 stages, each of which covers three months.

Upbringing of the child up to the year: four main periods

  1. From birth to three months.
  2. Three to six months.
  3. Six to nine months.
  4. From nine months to a year.

The first stage lasts from the moment of the birth of the child to the execution of three months. During this period, parents should form a good habit for the baby and prevent the appearance of harmful ones, lay the foundations of communication, develop sensory perception. Also, during this period, parents need to properly organize a diet, this is important for the normal weight gain and the formation of a habit of the regime. In the first three months the baby should develop the following habits:

  • to fall asleep on the street without a pacifier;
  • keep the head;
  • spend some time in the crib, entertaining yourself alone;
  • to show signs of discontent when it is necessary to replace the diaper;
  • fall asleep without motion sickness;
  • orient in space, reacting to sounds and light.

Particular attention should be paid to the hygiene of the baby. Every morning should begin with a friendly smile of my mother and hygienic procedures. They consist in washing the face and pens, changing the diaper and washing. Daily procedures will form a useful habit for the baby to cleanliness. It is unacceptable that the remnants of urine or feces irritate the baby’s skin, therefore, diapers should be replaced every three hours. Because the baby’s skin is very tender, its surface is treated with cream or powder.

To form a habit of keeping the baby’s head, you must spread it on your tummy, even if it expresses displeasure. Gradually, this procedure will become his habit, the muscles of the neck and back are trained. Every day he will spend more and more time on his stomach and contemplate the surrounding world from another position.

It lasts from the third to the sixth month, during this time there is an active sensory, auditory and visual perception and development. The second stage involves preparing the baby for a future speech. For this, it can include music of different genres, the main thing is that it should be easy and melodic. Classics, children's songs, modern variety, folk motifs - everything will do. In order for the baby to walk, babble, squeak, his attention should be paid to other sounds. The child needs to be acquainted with the surrounding world, drawing his attention to the rustling of leaves, chirping sparrows, the noise of streaming water - this is knowledge (for example: here the rain is pounding on the windowsill, here are the birds chirping, but the tractor is treading, and so on.).

Mental development of a child of this age begins with communication. Parents should play with the child, developing his visual, tactile and auditory perception. To begin lessons with the child follows during active wakefulness, when the child is cheerful and nothing disturbs it. Otherwise, the lessons will not give the expected result. The child should enjoy the game / play, so it should be abandoned if the baby is hungry, sick or fussy. During this period, the foundations of moral and aesthetic education, which the kid receives through communication with adults, are laid.
