10 precautions that parents should teach their child

The safety of our children with you is a very topical topic, considering the time in which we live. According to the statistics of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, in the first three months of 2015 alone 4,500 children became victims of violent crimes. Of these, 90 were kidnapped and killed, 340 were raped, and 1100 were victims of corruption, including by a close relative. Unfortunately, we can not always be close to our baby, so you should take care of the child in advance to know and understand how to behave in situations of potential danger.

There are a number of simple rules and skills that, having taught your child, every parent can feel much calmer. These rules are not a panacea, which can guarantee your child 100% safety, but knowing them, any child will be able to give an alarm in time and seek help from either you or others.

Children, by their nature, men are extremely active and sometimes it can happen that, after looking at a beautiful car or playing with your toy, the child may fall behind from the parents and get lost. Especially often it happens in crowded places: shopping centers, beaches, water parks, etc. If this happens, then he should know in advance to whom he can apply for help: policemen, guards of trading halls or other special personnel. Going somewhere, explain to the child how these good uncles and aunts look. Also learn with it:

  • his name and surname;
  • the address where he lives;
  • the names of his parents and close relatives;
  • home phone number or Mom and Dad numbers.

Having memorized this information, periodically say it to the child, or even better, in a role-playing form, rehearse at home such situations.

When a boy is approached by a stranger with a request from you

Recently, in one of the news stories, the journalist together with the psychologist conducted an experiment. She, by prior arrangement with her parents, checked whether it is possible to steal a child from an apartment. A big shock for the parents was the fact that the children boldly opened the door after Aunt Julia said that she was a friend of Mom and came on her behalf to take the baby to her. This pretext worked in 100% of cases, and, as practice shows, children are willing to believe it.

Secure your child from such manipulations from people with criminal intentions can, by inventing a special password. Tell the baby that he never, did not go anywhere with the one who does not know this password. The door should also not be opened. And also – and it’s very important – tell the little one that this password is your secret with him and nobody should know about his existence.

Every literate child

Must know firmly from the cradle:

If you are called to swim,

And in the movie even to act,

They promise to give candy,

You will be offered a monkey,

Or even money to the bank,

Or even a circus ticket

Called to fly to the moon,

Riding the elephant ...

There is a simple answer ... (no!)

This rule resonates with the second and the recommendations are basically the same - do not talk to strangers. It's just that the second rule gives advice on how to act as a child, when communication is still held and they try to persuade him to do something, although it will be best if you explain to him that such conversations should not be. Most parents teach this to their children and it's good, but it's important that the child is able to use it in different situations, for example, when someone wants to give something to him.

Gifts and treats from strangers are unacceptable

Children like to receive gifts, especially sweet ones, and kidnappers actively use it. therefore Your kid should know that it is impossible to take gifts or treats from strangers. The only exception is your permission. Beat such a situation at home so that the kid understands how to do it.
