Thus, freezers with three and four indicators are designed for long-term storage of products, while the latter provide a quick freeze. Products cannot be stored in “two-star” freezers for more than a month, and “four-star” (most of them) allow you to store frozen foods for up to a year.
In almost all modern refrigerators, the freezer is equipped with an automatic defrosting system: there is a drip system and a No Frost system. In refrigerators of the first type, when the compressor stops, the moisture condenses on the rear wall of the chamber and then drips down the guide channel into a special container located under the unit where the moisture evaporates.
This process occurs gradually and silently.
Refrigerators with two compressors are convenient in operation. They are somewhat more expensive, but the cooling and freezing chambers are independent, and if necessary, any of them can be turned off.
In refrigerators of the second type, cold air circulates in the form of numerous streams and in different directions, thus being distributed over the entire volume of the chamber and providing fast and uniform cooling of the products. Moisture is removed outside the chamber, so its condensation on the walls does not occur and as a result there is no need to defrost the refrigerator manually.
On each European refrigerator you can find a sticker on which the letters from A to G indicate the energy efficiency class and the actual energy consumption: from A to C is a very economical and economical class, D is an intermediate value and from E to G is a high and very high power consumption .
This is a built-in TV or Internet for electronic ordering of provisions, sending letters, and so on; a heat sensor that will give a signal if you have not closed the door, or if there is another smart system, this door itself closes. Expensive models can be equipped with a “notebook”, from which you can find out how long a particular product is stored in your freezer.
No matter how perfect the model, it is impossible to do without observing the general rules of food storage. So that some products are not absorbed, while others do not emit smells, pack them, for example, in foil or store in hermetically sealed containers.
