In general, I treat the Avon mascaras well: a fairly high-quality product for quite modest money. But it was with our today’s heroine, mascara Full spectrum, I could not make friends. Although for complete objectivity gave her a chance twice.
Ink is available in 9 ml volume, only in black.
The total cost in the catalog is 360 rubles. But I bought it both times at a discount, and it cost me about 200 rubles.
The carcass has a completely ordinary brush-brush, classic shape, with bristles in a spiral (which is typical for volume-adding carcass).
I first acquired this mascara about 3 years ago, when it first appeared in the catalog marked as new. I was attracted by the unusual design of the tube. He has a wheel at the base, rotating which you can adjust the mascara to the desired volume of eyelashes.
That is, manufacturers promise 3 options for eyelash makeup with just one tool. You can choose the desired option and the time of day, and the mood, and under the event.
Having used mascara for 4 months, I was not very pleased. But bad impressions were quickly erased from memory, but the attracting spectacular tube still attracted attention 🙂 Therefore, once again seeing the ink at a discount, I could not resist, and bought it a second time. Now, I think, exactly the last one.
Volumetric – more voluminous – maximally volumetric or normal – lumpy – very lumpy?
Volumetric – more voluminous – maximally voluminous – an advertisement for carcasses sounds promising. Full range.
Let’s check in practice.
Here are my eyelashes without mascara, they are of medium length and thickness.
Eyelashes with one layer of mascara, the wheel is set to 1.
It seems to me that it turns out quite ordinary, minimalist makeup. It looks very natural.
Now we cover the eyelashes with a second layer of mascara, this time setting the arrow on 2. Lumps are already appearing. And some cilia stick together.
And what if after the first step (that is, one layer on 1) make the second layer, setting the mascara to 3? Here is the result.
Of course, this is a photo in macro mode, and everything here looks very exaggerated. Nevertheless, very few people want this effect. Eyelashes as if thickly plastered with something. Of course I want the volume, but not at this price. And the sensations on the eyes are also not very pleasant.
This is what happens with the rotation of the base of the tube: the more you set the number, the more excess ink remains on the brush when you pull it out of the tube. And all these surpluses go to the eyelashes. That’s the whole trick. And I was waiting for magic!
My conclusion
Good quality mascara itself. Keeps well. It is washed off too without problems. No irritations or allergies caused. In that a plus.
But it was all over the fact that I use mascara exclusively on the number 1, that is, applying 1-2 thin layers. And it turns out just a natural makeup. Well, the additional function in the form of scrolling the wheel remains untapped. In this undoubted minus, as expectations remain unjustified.
