In the previous topic, I shared with you the secrets of the correct application of arrows, but today we will discuss the use of eyeliner. For me personally, the difference between a liner and a pencil is not fundamental. It all depends on my mood or on the fact that the first will fall under the arm.
But, if you look, the purpose of the eyeliner and the pencil, of course, is different. We choose the liner when a clear and bright line is needed, while the pencil usually draws softer and thicker lines that are often shaded.
In terms of color, I am not very picky, I have only three eyeliners: black, brown and mother of pearl. Although, to be honest, in most cases I use plain black.
In addition to color, you should decide on rod stiffness. The softer ones are easier to apply, shade, but their lines hold less on the eyelid and are often smeared (usually the line looks like oily). But with a hard pencil it is easier to apply a clear and resistant line, but at the same time, too hard a rod can injure the delicate skin around the eyes.
Another important characteristic is the presence of a foam sponge or brush at the other end of the pencil. feathering lines. Professional make-up artists usually use special brushes for these purposes, and for home use, the built-in device is enough for me.
So, the main purpose of eye makeup in my case is to give the look expressiveness and openness. Also, I do not mind the slight effect of increasing the eyes.
If you, like me, are not quite happy with the size of your eyes, you should not start a line from the inside corner. It is better to draw from about the middle, gradually thickening it. Here, unlike the use of eyeliner, you can not strive for perfection and clarity, because, then follows the stage of feathering.
To make the look more open, I usually draw a few heavy strokes on the pencil the outer part of the upper eyelid. By the way, so that the paint does not smear, before makeup I lightly powder the eyelid or apply a primer. And if I need a more dramatic effect, I put an arrow over the wide feather line of the pencil.
Perfectly enlarges the eyes one more trick – a few strokes with a light pearly pencil across inner corner of the eye. For the same purpose, you can use two shades of pencil on the upper and lower eyelids. Only the color on the bottom should be a few tones lighter than on the top. For example, I use black and brown or two shades of brown.
But drawing on the inside of the century, I practically do not use everyday makeup. It seems to me that this method is more suitable for evening makeup. I use two colors. Black – if you need to do focus on the eyes, give look languid, wilted and rapacious.
Just keep in mind that this way you visually reduce the eyes. But the white line on the inside of the eyelid seems to merge with the white of the eye, as a result of which eyes look much bigger.
Eyeliner is an ideal tool for daily makeup, and a feather line allows you to quickly and easily hide flaws, which can often not be avoided in the morning rush.
For me, perfect pencils are now products of the Maybelline company; I think they have the ideal price-quality ratio. And the rod is not so hard to scratch the eyelid, but not so soft as to crumble when applied.
