Omnio Stroller Review

We love that you can literally wear this lightweight stroller as a backpack, allowing you to be truly hands free. It looks great, is easy to push and gives you great versatility. That said, theres still a few improvements to be made and the hood and harness are both a little fiddly.

ldquo;This British innovation is a full-size stroller with a compact fold. Omnio is set to transform the way parents contend with typical scenarios, every day and on holiday. Its unique wearable design leaves both hands free for parenting when a toddler is happy to walk, and the revolutionary omni-wheels offer agile steering across multiple terrains.rdquo;

Tested by mum Emma Potter for the Mother Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Personally, I wasn#39;t keen on the overall look of the pushchair, but would recommend it for those that liked walking on all sorts of terrains or lived in flats or a small house with small amounts of storage space, as it would easily fit under the stairs or in a cupboard when folded away. It was very easy to steer one handed too.

How has this product made your life easier?

It makes cutting across grass or playing fields a lot easier and navigating around small aisles in the shops easier, as the turning system takes up less space than a normal pushchair. It is fairly easy to fold once you have done it a couple of times and would be useful for someone that doesn#39;t have a lot of storage space.

Would you choose this product to win?

Personally, I wouldnt choose this pushchair to win as the only time I would choose to use this is if I was planning on a holiday where we were doing a lot of walking, but even then, I feel like I would get more out of a cheaper stroller, as it will still take up most of the space in my boot even when folded. It would probably be better for someone that used public transport a lot.

What changes would you make to this product?

I would change quite a few things ndash; the seat is far too low for my liking, the shopping basket is basically non-existent and calling it that is pretty laughable. The system to recline the seat is not easy to use when baby is asleep and to keep them asleep! When in the weatherproof bag, I had flashbacks to D of E weekends trips and it#39;s not really comfortable and far too bulky!

Tested by one of our mum testers for the Mother Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend this buggy to my mum friends purely based on space saving ndash; I know a lot of parents who struggle with room in their car and sometimes resort to buying a bigger car when this would definitely be a cheaper option. It#39;s easy to fold down get back up again and it#39;s lovely to push. Also, the harness feels very safe.

How has this product made your life easier?

I really liked the Omnio stroller, although it#39;s the only buggy I have used in such a compact size. I tested the buggy on holiday and found that it saved so much room when packing the car. It#39;s a great space saver and I found I didnt have to take the buggy out of the car when going shopping as there was room for both ndash; this definitely made my life easier.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would choose the Omnio stroller purely on space saving, but I wouldnt vote for it to win a Mother Baby award as I do feel that the price is a little expensive for a buggy. That said, the wheels are a great and make the pushchair easy to handle and the pushchair is amazingly lightweight.

What changes would you make to this product?

The two things I would change about the Omnio stroller is the basket underneath, as it wasnt big enough to get much in and the hood, which didnt fully cover my baby.

Tested by mum Abi Brown for the Mother Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend it to others as it is a high-quality product that feels sturdy and long lasting making it value for money. It folds with ease and even wipes down well (as I found out when there was a drink spilt on the seat!). The seat is cushioned and looks comfortable for my child as she sits in it. The mudguards on the wheels are perfect as they stop her reaching for the wheels, which has been a problem when using other pushchairs.

How has this product made your life easier?

It fits in my small car easily and as I have more than one child, this is always a bonus. I like that the pushchair has its own bag to put it in and keep it clean and safe, especially when travelling abroad for holidays. My life is easier as a mum as my baby is comfy and happy sat in the pushchair.

Would you choose this product to win?

I think this product should win because it stands out from the crowd in more ways than one. Firstly, it is easy to use and folds so small it doesn#39;t take up room in my house as I can leave it in the porch. Secondly, the design and the whole look of the pushchair is great and my little one seems comfortable and happy sat in it.

What changes would you make to this product?

I wouldn#39;t change anything about the pushchair as I love everything about it. I love the colour and the design. The pushchair is perfect for my really tall husband as the handle extends well. Finally, the shopping basket fits my everyday essentials in as well as the rain cover.

Tested by mum Kimberley for the Mother Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend this product to my friends because of its vibrant colours scheme (especially the red), in addition to this the fact that the stroller folds down to such a compact format. It would be ideal for my friends that use public transport a lot with their small child. It is also easy to clean, with all the parts being easy to take apart.

How has this product made your life easier?

The fold-up #39;backpack#39; feature makes this stroller ideal for travelling on public transport or even for holidays and flights. It#39;s also fabulous over different terrains and versatile whilst navigating narrow shop aisles and walkways. It is very quick and easy to assemble and can be done easily one handed, ideal for when balancing a baby in one hand and the stroller in another.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would not personally choose this product to win a Mother Baby award, as I thought the price of the stroller is very steep. The shopping net is very small ndash; it would not fit a loaf of bread, which is not ideal if you have any shopping to do. In addition to this, the seat position is very low towards the ground and I felt uncomfortable with having my daughter that close to the floor.

What changes would you make to this product?

The one thing that would make this stroller more suited for my purposes is a higher seat position. It is currently set very low on the frame and it makes me feel nervous that my daughter would be sat so low on the ground. If it was raised about 5cm I feel that it would be more than suitable and would fulfil my personal safety concerns.

Tested by mum Joanne Crowther for the Mother Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I love the design and the feel of the product ndash; its sturdy and handles really well. The rain cover fits great which is a must when you live in the North West of England! The seat has generous padding so it#39;s comfortable when wearing it as a back pack ndash; my daughter likes to walk sometimes and I can#39;t push a buggy and help her, so it means she now gets more opportunity to walk.

How has this product made your life easier?

The size of the buggy folded makes my life easier as it fits neatly under the stairs like no other buggy has done before, which means I no longer have to have a buggy in my living room! It#39;s easy to move between rooms and negotiate door frames with unlike a conventional umbrella fold buggy, which also means we can leave the house faster!

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes, I would choose this product to win an award, as although it#39;s pricey the attention to detail is second to none. The features make life easier and I adore the overall look of the buggy. The colour I have is beautiful and fresh and I have been asked lots of questions about it while out and about as people hadn#39;t seen it before.

What changes would you make to this product?

The seat only reclines slightly which is common on a buggy, but a better recline would be great as my daughter likes to go to sleep lying back. The shopping basket is definitely on the small side, but it has fit everything I need so hasnt been a huge problem.

The wearable idea is fantastic, but its quite heavy to carry. Its easy to open and fold, however, the seat is low down ndash; my baby didn#39;t look comfortable and I found it difficult to get her in and out, as I had to bend quite low. The wheels are very good and make this really manoeuvrable. Its ideal for use on public transport but better suited to toddlers.

My son slept well and looked comfortable in this. It handled a beach walk well, and I like that you can remove the wheels and mudguards for washing. The harness is simple to use, and the shoulder straps are some of the best Ive seen. But I cant open or fold it with one hand and the handlebar is uncomfortable. Plus, the basket is tiny ndash; there#39;s nowhere to put my change bag.

This is such a brilliant idea and its well executed. I love the fact that you can remove the seat fabric and pop it in the washing machine for cleaning ndash; thats ingenious! But the seat unit is quite low to the ground, which Im not keen on, and I found it difficult to open and fold. Its also too heavy to be practical for carrying around with you for very long.

Suitable from six months to 22kg.
