Combine a day of horse racing with more toddler-friendly activities at Epsom Downs. Therell be pony rides, a petting zoo, bouncy castle, carousel and face painting, plus personal appearances from Peppa Pig and little brother George throughout the day.

Sub-tropical plants and trees stretch down to the mouth of the Helford River in the beautiful Trebah Garden. Theres a small beach for picnics and swimming, special childrens trails and adventure playgrounds.

Rather confusingly, it runs for a month rather than a week, but with Aliens Love Underpants and Charlie And The Chocolate Factory tickets up for grab, its definitely worth a look.

As well as home to Peppa Pig World, Paultons Park has also recently opened a double-decker Victorian carousel and the Big Toy Shop. Children enter the shop through a rainbow arch into the enchanted forest where Sparky the giant friendly dragon awaits to greet them. Yes, its a gift shop, but your toddler will love it.

If youre heading to the south west for your holiday, stop by this lovely family beach, which is cleaned and raked daily. It has a magnificent view over St Ives Bay to Godrevy lighthouse and the beach shop rents everything you need for a day on the sands (loungers, windbreaks, buckets and spades).

Visit the only two giant pandas in the UK, Tian Tian and Yang Guang. There are also meerkats, koalas and penguins, thereby successfully fulfilling the cuteness quota that your little one will be looking for.

Take your little monkey along to see the Monkey Forest, which makes up part of the Trentham Estate gardens. A ¾ mile winding forest path takes you through the forest where 140 Barbary Macaques (a type of monkey) live and roam freely, meaning you see them walk across the path in front of you.

You, your toddler and her favourite teddy bear can enjoy a day out in Abbey Woods this weekend at this giant teddy bears picnic. Complete with traditional games, stalls and a BBQ, there will be lots going on – even Peppa Pig will be in attendance!
Centered around the Extreme Sailing Series, Cardiff Harbours annual family festival promises a fun-filled day out for all the family. Your kids can build sandcastles on the beach and go on rides at the funfair, plus therell be live entertainment to dance along to on the bandstand.
If you havent yet had a chance to watch The Lego Movie, nows your chance. And for no cost! The popular film will be screening as part of Bournemouths lsquo;Onstage at Pier Approach summer schedule – which also includes plenty of music and other movies.
If you live in Wales, this is one event not to be missed this weekend. With more than 70 stands showcasing Welsh food, arts and crafts, there will be lots of childrens activities including face painting and a bouncy castle, plus live entertainment.
