Aldi Mamia Easy Pants Range Review

Aldi Mamia Easy Pants Range, Disposable Nappies Review

Our panel of mum testers loved these Aldi Mamia Easy Pants as they are excellent value for money, functioned effectively and have a slim fit. Due to the pull-up nature of the pants, they make changing easier, but our testers felt they werent as thick as others on the market.

ldquo;Nappy absorbency with the convenience of pants! These Aldi Mamia Easy Pants are dermatologically tested, have a lock away dry core, leg cuffs for leak protection and are made with fibres from the Sustainable Forestry Initiative.rdquo;

Tested by mum Tamara Potts for the Mother Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would 100% recommend these to other mums because they are very comfortable on my children, are simply designed and very easy to use! I have already recommended them to my sister and also my friend who has two boys.

How did this product make your life easier?

As a mum, I have tried lots of different nappy brands for my two children as some were very poor, and these are noticeably absorbent! No leaks make life much easier.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would choose it 2nd or 3rd but not to win, just because I think the other brands make more comfortable nappies. That said, these are great and extremely durable.

What changes would you make to this product?

It would be amazing if these nappies were just a bit thicker!

Tested by mum Josie Williams for the Mother Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend the Aldi pull-up nappies for ease of use, amazing value for money and a really great fit for toddlers. It#39;s a good size pack for a great price, and flat enough to pop into a small change bag for on the go. The pull-ups were a lovely design too with a little elephant on them.

How did this product make your life easier?

These pull-ups are great for a quick, hassle-free nappy change. My daughter loved being in big girl nappies and found them easy to put on herself. The elastic meant they stayed securely on and we didn#39;t have any issues with leaks.

Would you choose this product to win?

I don#39;t think I would pick this over all other products as they didnt cater very well for cleaning up dirty nappies. The side ripped easily and, when rolling it up, there was no little sticker or tag to keep it closed. This made messy nappy changes a lot more awkward. If this simple change was made, I would choose the Mamia Easy Pants to win!

What changes would you make to this product?

As mentioned, I would add a little sticker to be able to keep the nappy closed when cleaning up. Otherwise they are great!

Tested by mum Amy Adams for the Mother Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Yes. Firstly, the nappies packed flat, meaning that they didn#39;t take up too much space in my nappy bag. We didn#39;t have any instances of leaking either, which often happens with the brand that we normally use. I think this is because the material of the Mamia Pants feels a little tougher than our usual brand.

How did this product make your life easier?

The nappies were really easy to use ndash; it was clear which side was the front, and which was the back, they were robust and fit snugly round my toddlers body. The design was neutral and had an elephant on the front, which my daughter loved, referring to them as her elephant pants.

Would you choose this product to win?

I liked this product a lot, but would not choose it to win because it did give our daughter a nappy rash. This is potentially because the absorbency levels were not as a high they should be.

What changes would you make to this product?

Following on from the previous question, I would make the pull-ups more absorbent to minimise wetness resulting in nappy rash.

Tested by mum Susie Hill for the Mother Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would definitely recommend these, not only for the price but for the quality. They have generous and comfortable waistbands and easy tear sides for changing. My little one has not experienced any rubbing or chafing on his legs or waist and my son does suffer with mild eczema. Although they#39;re not organic, I found them to be soft on his skin.

How did this product make your life easier?

The pull up style nappy pant is great for a little wriggler like my two-year-old. They are much slimmer than traditional nappies and don#39;t make his bum look so big – although I#39;m sure he#39;s not bothered! They come in compact packaging too, but in smaller quantities than in standard nappy packs.

Would you choose this product to win?

I think the quality here is remarkable for the cost per nappy. They really do stand up against the competitor brands and I think they equal the absorption, comfort and functionality of the leading brands. When there are so many expensive items to buy for your child, it#39;s great to know you can have good quality at an affordable price for an essential product! I#39;d prefer to spend my money on more exciting products for my son, so I definitely recommend these.

What changes would you make to this product?

The only downside for me is the design as other brands are more colourful, whereas these are very simple with just an elephant on the front. However, this is a very small criticism as overall, I really like them!

Tested by mum Katherine Sanford for the Mother Baby awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Yes. They are very affordable, and considering the amount of pull up nappies you go through, they are definitely value for money. I like the simple designs and think that they rival other competitors on the market.

How did this product make your life easier?

The product is easy to use and is a good alternative to more expensive brands. Although it wouldn#39;t match up identically to more expensive pull-ups, for the cost, which is approximately one-third cheaper, it does the job remarkably! Very strong and absorbent.

Would you choose this product to win?

Before testing these nappies, I would have been sceptical. We are firm believers of false economy and would pay extra for better quality. However, this product is great. My daughter has very sensitive skin and had no reaction to these!

What changes would you make to this product?

If I could change one thing about the product it would be to make the sides more elasticated and stretchy. But overall,l I think the pull-ups are brilliant.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend these pull ups to other mums because they do what they need to do and they are a very reasonable price for what you are getting. I feel that they are a little flimsy on the sides and could break easily while pulling them up and down. I also think the material is a little harder than other brands. I do however like the image in the front and back to make it easier to tell which way round they go. They also seem very absorbent to use overnight when potty training.

How did this product make your life easier?

The way this product makes life easier, not just for mum but for toddler too, is that they have a nice image of an elephant facing forward on the front and the elephants back on the back, making it very easy to figure out which way round they go. My daughter can easily use these by herself without any help.

What changes would you make to this product?

I would make the outer coating material softer as I find these pull ups to be quiet rigid with not much movement to them. The sides are quite flimsy in contrast to the bulk of the main pull up section which doesn#39;t seem to fit well together.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

The Mamia range is fab. Having tried some other store bands and having no luck with him being wet through in the morning I was very curious whether or not these would work. I can say so far so good! Already have recommended them to a friend!

How did this product make your life easier?

With my son now potty trained but still not managing the nights so well, these pull ups are great to quickly stick on him during the night. Easily pulls up and down and should my son need to get up for a wee during the night he can managed to pull them up and down by himself. Also easily pulls off in the morning too!

Would you choose this product to win?

I would definitely chose these pull ups are they an all-round great product. So much cheaper than the leading brand and you always get so much more pulls up in a pack too. Such a faultless product you can#39;t complain. Mamia nappies are such good value for money.

What changes would you make to this product?

I do love the Aldi Mamia Easy Pants range but I would change one thing. With my son now not in nappies, when he goes to bed I have to explain why he wears pull-ups at night. The design on the pull-ups are not much different to the nappies, I think they need a whole new design to make them look more grown up, so toddlers don#39;t get confused and think they#39;re going back into nappies at night. They need to know these are pull-up pants not nappies.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would highly recommend these Mamia pull-up nappies. These pull-ups are fantastic value for money and one of the best pull-ups I have used on my son. They are super absorbent and I have never experienced them leaking. The pack is a a handy size. The pants are a comfortable fit and are easy for my son to pull up and down.

How did this product make your life easier?

Amazing value for money, with leg cuffs for extra leakage prevention. Comfortable and well fitting for my son, kind to skin, these pull-ups have brilliant absorbency and it feels like they are assisting In potty training.

Would you choose this product to win?

These are the only pull-ups not to have had a leakage for my son. Normally I would put a quot;normalquot; nappy on my son for bed rather than a pull-up but the Mamia pull-ups work perfectly overnight for keeping him leak free as well as during the day. These nappies are secure at the sides so my son is able to pull them up and down himself. Cannot fault these pull-ups.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend Aldi Mamia Easy Pants to other mums due their affordability and design. While they are quite simple they do what they need to do and are easy for my little boy to get on and off. My little boy also liked the elephant design.

How did this product make your life easier?

Mamia easy pants have made my life easier as my little boy is able to pull them up and down himself which has come in very handy now we#39;re potty training. I also like that you can rip the sides for easy removal. Although they don#39;t seem to tear quite as well as other brands.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I#39;d recommend these to a fellow mum as they are really absorbent. My little girl drinks a lot of water and out of the whole packet we only had one that leaked (on a day where she had drunk a great deal of water due to the heat). We#39;ve tried a few different pull-ups and these have been the best. My little girl loved the design on them too.

How did this product make your life easier?

The rip sides make changes very quick, this is great for a very active 3 year old! They pull up nice and easy too. They don#39;t sag like standard nappies do once full which is great when wearing dresses so you don#39;t have the extra support of trousers. They are also discreet when wearing and in the changing bag, space is needed when packing for two!

Would you choose this product to win?

I would choose this product because we#39;ve tried every type of nappies from every type of shop and these are one of the best we#39;ve tried. My daughter is quite sensitive and she didn#39;t have a reaction at all. They also kept her dry through the night which we often have issues with as she#39;s a big water drinker throughout the day.

What changes would you make to this product?

If I had to change one thing about this product it would be to have tabs or something similar for ease of disposal. When it#39;s just a wet nappy it#39;s not so bad to just roll up, but a dirty one just needs a way of securing everything for disposal. This would also make it a bit more of a hygienic disposal.
