Red peristola: a full set of autumn colors in an aquarium

Many aquarists in order to give extravagance to the underwater kingdom resort to color solutions. It looks beautiful and bright.

With a reasonable approach, harmonious play of colors helps to create a unique atmosphere of juiciness and freshness.

It is for such purposes that a peristist red (Myriophyllum mattogrossense) is created. There are more explored options (Brazilian banded pigeon), but there are some recently imported to Russia – Roerim’s peristolist or Guayana.

If you liked the video – share with friends:

It is familiar to many, including as a result of independent use. These soft and soft Christmas trees attract beginners with their simplicity and originality, and the ability to photosynthesis is used by professionals and experienced amateurs to adjust the chemical composition of water.

The most common variations are green. This is a Brazilian peristristis or Guiana peristramina.

On the leaves, as on a cloud, air droplets can be located, which indicates the intensity of oxygenation (formation of oxygen).

Red peristola is an original and rather capricious variant. Unlike peristismestnik green, it does not have a tendency to high growth and, especially, to grow above the surface of the water.

His bushes do not exceed 40 cm in height and, because of this, have a fluffy and voluminous appearance.

Interesting is the dissected nature of the feathery leaves, resembling a fan. Fastened to the stem whorbate, 3-4 leaves. They can be compared with thin and soft needles, which move in the direction of water currents.

Such rhythmic and at the same time soft movements give the bottom and bottom layers of water a certain mystery and appeal.

Small fish hiding in them with great pleasure and sitting in ambush large aquarium predator fish.

Planted with bushes either singly, such a fir-tree variant of algae favorably emphasizes the general character of the aquarium. For example, a peristriminal rosemaya, especially located on the background, will give it exotic and eccentricity.

You can have several plants, they can be arranged along the same line (then it is a hedge) or in a chaotic manner (light thickets, which serve as an excellent place for the rest of the fish).

The main requirement is bright and durable lighting. What is more, so:

  • Colors will be brighter and richer
  • juicier – leaves,
  • stronger and slimmer – the stem.

To fluctuations in temperature, the plant is not very sensitive, even its reduction to 15 ° may not be perceived as destructive.

But increased rigidity can play a cruel joke: delicate leaves suffer from trace elements and can lose their vitality. The same feature in the peristraminium is red-stem.

First, the color is lost, then the leaves lose elasticity and can curl into a tube or fall off.

The peristolic Matogrossky green likes to add special liquid fertilizers to the water and a high content of carbon dioxide. From their presence, the branches become strong, and the leaves become bright green in color.

Peristolic Roraim prefers:

  • soft and clean water
  • its restrained and soft movement;
  • the absence of mechanical impurities (otherwise they become clogged in the finely cut leaves and pose a threat of their rotting);
  • relatively warm temperature (20-27o);
  • pH in the range of 6-8.

In such conditions, the plant, as well as the red-and-white peristisum, has a beautiful brownish color, is overgrown with leaves and looks beautiful both in the center of the aquarium (as a specific accent) and along its perimeter.

To create a plant preferred conditions they need to pay attention to the quality of the soil. For example, peristrimino riraimaili peristrami Brazilian will be grateful for the fine ground, silted to a small extent.

You can try the sand, better river, but do not get involved in its frequent change or boiling. It is better when certain inhabitants are present in the ground, and the result of their vital activity creates specific siltation.

Brazilian peristyle can not be fixed in the ground at all. He is able to exist in a floating state.

However, if in certain places thin long root threads are noticeable, it is better to attach them to the ground. This will give the opportunity to give growth a certain direction.

Red peristomistik- option acceptable for any aquarium. However, despite its unpretentiousness, the plant requires attention. The vulnerability of its leaves and the fragility of the stems should set up the aquarist for the seriousness of care and the need for constant monitoring of the condition of the water.

But then, making friends with the plant, the aquarium will receive a decent living decoration, and the owner will receive a lot of positive emotions.
