Fertilizers for feeding aquarium plants can be purchased ready-made at the pet store or prepared at home on their own. To prepare the dressing yourself, you should have basic knowledge in the field of chemistry. The following tools are also required:

  • accurate scales;
  • thermometer;
  • rubber gloves;
  • stirring sticks;
  • flasks;
  • beaker;
  • reagents.

Scales should be as accurate as possible. To prepare microfertilizers for an aquarium on your own, you will need a bottle of at least 1 liter. The following reagents will also be required:

  • copper;
  • boric acid;
  • manganese sulphate;
  • ammonium molybdate;
  • zinc.

Water for cooking should be prepared in advance – heated to 35−40 degrees, just need about 0.5 liter. All components must be mixed in sequence: ammonium molybdate, copper, zinc, manganese and boric acid. When all reagents are dissolved, it is necessary to add another 0.5 liters of water to the tank.

It must be distilled and heated.

This fertilizer should be applied to the water every day in the following proportions: 0.5 ml per 100 l of water is the minimum dosage. The maximum allowable amount of the additive is 1 ml per 100 liters of liquid.

The optimal dosage should be selected experimentally.

Preparation of micronutrient feeding will take less time. In this case, it will be enough to mix 3 separate solutions. Most commonly used for the preparation of solutions:

A phosphate solution can be obtained by mixing 72 g of potassium phosphate and 1 l of water. It is recommended to bring it into the aquarium once at the rate of 1 ml per 100 l.

To prepare a nitrate solution, 60 g of potassium nitrate will be required. The dry base must be dissolved in 1 liter of liquid.

  • boiled distilled water;
  • ferrous sulfate;
  • magnesium sulfate;
  • copper sulfate;
  • lemon acid;
  • zinc sulfate.

All these ingredients need to be made consistently. Prepared base for fertilizer should infuse for an hour.

Then it is necessary to add boric and sulfuric acid, vitamin B12, potassium sulfate and cytovite to the solution.

During operation should follow all safety rules. Sulfuric acid is especially dangerous. After all the components are mixed, the composition needs to last another 300 ml of water.

Such a complex fertilizer is recommended to be applied at the rate of 1 ml per 50 l of liquid.
