E. aschersonianus; martii – named after the German botanist K.F. P. von Martius (1794–1868).
Natural habitat: East of Brazil.
Plant description: rhizomatous plant of medium size. Leaves collected in the outlet. Underwater leaf blade on the petiole up to 20 cm long, narrow, reverse lanceolate, up to 40 cm long, 5 cm wide, wavy, light green.
Inflorescences above-water and underwater with children.
Plant Care: luxurious echinodorus, does not grow out of the aquarium. Heat and light-loving.
Requires regular feeding, often suffers from a lack of iron. The water is soft to hard. Water circulation is desirable.
Plant propagation: daughter plants, rhizome division.
Application: solitary plant.
