Cryptocoryne Neville – one of the smallest representatives of this genus: its length does not exceed 20 cm. It changes according to the conditions in which it grows. There is a broad-leaved and narrow-leaved species of the plant.

The leaf plate is round at the base with a slightly pointed apex, about 6 cm long. The main vein is well defined, the lateral veins are weak. On the upper side of the sheet has a juicy green color, with the bottom – light green.

To the touch the leaves are smooth, slightly convex, hard. Petiole slightly longer than a leaf, green.

Strongly developed root system. Neville’s cryptocoryne roots are white, knotty, fleshy. As a rule, the rhizome consists of several lobes, the number of which is proportional to the number located in the vicinity of the parent daughter plants.

The roots, though fragile, but hardy. If you are very careful to pull the plant, you can pull it out of the ground without damaging the roots.

Cryptocoryne Neville, located in the foreground, will decorate any aquarium. Under favorable conditions, forms dense thickets, consisting of numerous shoots, and grows rapidly, especially if not disturbed.

Within one month, the plant produces one leaf. If possible, recommended contain low growing species in greenhouse conditions or in a separate shallow (up to 20 cm) aquarium.

Planted in a plant laid out in a non-thick layer of soil, which is well suited for peat or oily clay. If the soil is not rich in nutrients, growth Neville’s cryptocorynes slows down.

The parameters of the water hardness should not exceed 12 °, and the temperature is in the range of 22-30 ° C. During the growth period, the temperature should be moderate.

Lighting should be dim and moderate, bright lighting is strictly contraindicated. Penumbra is best suited.

Breeds Neville’s cryptocoryne formed on creeping shoots layering. It is recommended to separate the daughter plant from the mother plant only after the appearance of at least five leaflets on it.
