Types of botsiy: external differences and features of character

Watching life in an aquarium with populated battles you might think that the “company” consists of various fish. Their appearance and characters differ from one another, and the conditions for a prosperous life are identical.

For most botsi characterized by a near-bottom lifestyle. They slowly travel between the elements of the soil, trying to squeeze into any gap between the stones.

If they are full, their movements are slow and steady. But their behavior can be characterized by the words: always alert.

As soon as danger arises, their defensive reaction is original: they turn upside up and pretend to be dead. Such features often frighten aquarists, especially at the initial stage of communication with them.

Botsiya lohakata has significant similarities with catfish: the same motley color, a similar body shape and performance of the functions of “aquarium attendant”. Picking up the settled food debris from the bottom, the fish prevents the beginning of the processes of their decay, maintains the purity of the soil.

Botsiya Histrionika
Botsiya modesta

Lifestyle more nightlife. Activity becomes noticeable in the evening and continues in the dark.

However, for example, combat history often catches the eye during the day, which is different from its fellows.

Characteristic “pack” way of life. Being in the company of 5-6 individuals, all the loins feel most comfortable. They “make noise”, splash, often during food even click on pleasure.

Botsia Modesta likes to jump in height. Therefore, the safety of its existence in the aquarium should be provided with a cap.

You can often notice modest in the middle layers of the water, which distinguishes this fork from the bottom “colleagues”.

Color options are varied in pattern and color. For example, Emperor and Dario have a basic yellow background with vertical dark brown stripes located on it.

Striate striat

On the body of the striat (the zebra), the arrangement of the bands in groups, between which the wide base band passes, is clearly visible. Another characteristic feature of the striat is the red color of the nose. Often this feature is taken for injury (digging in the ground, getting a scratch on the nose does not cost anything).

However, it is not. Pink nose is a characteristic feature of this variety.

Botsiya Rostrata

Rostrata has a “grayish” color in the central part of the body.

The black stripes on the body of the kubotai are often complemented by spots (white or blue). Such spots as the fish grow older.

Botsiya dwarf

The smallest of them all – the dwarf (sidhimunk) combat – for its appearance was called the “caliber”. She barely reaches a length of 6 cm and is very peaceful.

Brutus tiger

The name “Tiger Tiger” speaks for itself: such an individual has a clear brindle color. The number of stripes on her body can reach 12-15.

Due to the bright color of the fins, the term “red-flipper” is often added to its name.
This is a big fish, in ideal conditions, capable of growing up to 20 cm. A similar look has such a royal look (fight berdmore).

However, there is little information about her secrets today, as she is rarely shown to her owners because of her secretive lifestyle.
The chess chess (the first description of which appeared in 2004) has a special shape: the body seems to be elongated in length, equally in volume in the abdominal and caudal regions. Similarity with a chessboard is given due to chaotically scattered contrasting spots: light (almost white or slightly blue) and dark ink. With such a motley body, transparent fins with dark stripes look especially cute.

The second name of this creation is kubota. In home aquariums, this is a rare guest.

Botsia is an aquarium fish, the content of which cannot be called complex, except for its reproduction in artificial conditions that is almost unreal.

Marble Battle

Marble combat requires water of perfect purity. The degree of aeration should be maximized, especially if the size of the aquarium is less than 200 liters.

It is imperative that there are powerful filtration facilities: mechanical impurities in the water and on the ground can serve as traumatic factors for such fish.

Botsiya clown

The macracant’s fight (another name is a clown) has a habit of lying on the ground (sleeping or just resting). Such a pastime “on the side” at first seems strange.

Then you get used to it. However, it should always be remembered: the ground for the macracant is needed soft, without hard and sharp parts.

The territory should be made in the form of grottoes and caves, have a lot of labyrinths, where the family of wines can realize their natural instincts.

At the same time, fearfulness is present in the character of a lohak, and the marble variant, if it lives alone, acquires a special aggressiveness. He may, being in ambush for a long time, unexpectedly attack fish, even larger in size than himself.

Especially the situation is complicated by the fact that such attacks are carried out at night, when the majority of inhabitants are sleeping.

Description of any fish will be incomplete without the characteristics of the image of their diet If it is organized inappropriately, illness and a bad mood are not far off, which means that the normal climate in the aquarium is disturbed.

Botsia can be safely called eaters of all types of feed. Their tastes are so varied that the diet should include:

  • Live food;
  • Frozen;
  • Flake-like;
  • Vegetable;
  • Fish;
  • Synthetic.

Traveling along the bottom, striped, tiger or chess battles with pleasure taste small snails and caviar of other fish (if it is not protected).

They can be called real gluttons, because they cannot control their appetite. And it is not true to assume that abundant nutrition contributes to enhanced growth. Rather, it will entail non-weldability and problems in the gastrointestinal tract.

It is much more reasonable to make a competent menu, including various “dishes” in various meals.

Thinking through this question, keep in mind that young plants should also be protected from combat. Having a shortage of plant foods, they easily eat the emerging shoots. To prevent this from happening two or three times a week, feed them with crushed cucumber or scalded lettuce leaves. It is interesting to bring the “treat” on a fork, just drop it into the water with strung pieces.

Trying everything new with their four pairs of tactile tendrils, the fish will quickly realize that it is edible, tasty and healthy.

Compatibility of bots with other fish in the aquarium devoted a lot of posts. Sometimes the information available is contradictory. This is due to individual living conditions.

So, living in a favorable environment, the Striat team is always cheerful and carefree. They pay little attention to the neighbors, except that they protect their young.

At the same time, without having a company or experiencing the negative impact of poor-quality water, the mesh representative of the battles will look evil and aggressive. Its color coloring will lose brightness, and the behavior will become gloomy and closed.

In order not to risk their well-being, it is better to choose the same representatives of the loach fish in the aquarium neighbors.

If you still want to create a diverse aquarium world, you should choose individuals with similar conditions of detention. They must have a peace-loving character, prefer dim lighting, be mobile and active.

Well fit barbs, danios, tetras.

It is better to dwell on the species found in the upper and middle layers, since the lower one will be busy.

The sedentary “standing” species, for example, the angelfish, will not fit as neighbors. Fussy and loud fighting will disturb them.

There are few who raise fights. Almost always for this you need to use hormone injections.

Fry sold in special stores are often imported from special farms or captured in their natural habitat.

Theoretically, the breeding process is reduced to setting off a pair of producers in the spawning farm, laying the female eggs (5-6 thousand eggs 2 mm in size) and fertilizing it with milk of males. With the completion of spawning, young “parents” are deposited in their native aquarium and create conditions for its maturation.
At a water temperature of 28 ° C, the eggs will develop for about 18 hours.

Immediately after the appearance of the fry, they feed on the contents of the yolk sacs; as they mature, they switch to specialized food for the fry.

Buying fighters in an aquarium means giving yourself pleasant moments of observing their lives. This is a real surge of emotions that will lift your spirits and make the world brighter.
