Ancistrus is best kept in spacious aquariums, as it is quite active, but in small volumes it also feels good. The main thing is that he had enough food, and there was enough place to hide. Therefore, in the aquarium where such catfish live, it is advisable to put snag, coconuts or ceramic pots.

The body of the Ancistrus catfish is flat and oblate, covered with polygonal bone plates.

The color of these fish is different. Usually they are gray-yellow or black, and they also have light inclusions on the body. Much less common are catfish that are black with white dots.
