Motley mnogoper or marble Bishir: photos and content

Hello, friends. The motley mnogoper is an aquarium fish belonging to the multi-family family. In nature, it is found in the waters of the Tropical Belt of Africa, mostly south of the equator.

Its habitat extends slightly to the northern regions, mostly not further than Cameroon. This aquarium fish prefers to dwell in the stagnant water of lakes, rivers and various swamps.

In addition, motley mnogoper found in Lake Tanganyika and Rukva, as well as in the Congo River.

Marble bishir unique and very beautiful color, which contributed to the increase in popularity among aquarists. Motley and exotic color significantly affects the price of fish, in comparison with the Senegalese or palm multicare.

The drawing of young animals looks especially beautiful, but as the fish matures, it becomes pale. The belly can be either white or light yellow.

The back is gray-brown with a marble pattern, having the appearance of white spots. On the head there is also a pattern in the form of small specks, resembling a reticular structure.

The fish’s head is equipped with a terminal mouth, which allows the multihoper to actively hunt its prey both in the middle and upper water layers. Black and white spots on the fins form continuous rows. Unlike the other multi-pans, this fish has the dorsal fin removed from the head.

The body on the sides is flattened and beaded. The largest recorded size of a hydrobiont is 60 centimeters, and according to unconfirmed data, the marble besshir can live up to 30 years.

Marble Bishir is probably considered to be one of the most active representatives of large multi-core ones. Fish hunts mostly at night.

Make sure to cover the home aquarium, as your pet may escape. For the maintenance of variegated multi-operative water should have the following parameters:

Adult fish lead a secluded lifestyle and the exception is when fish go to spawn. During this period, motley mnogopery try to stay in pairs.

Juveniles feed on invertebrates, and as they mature, the polyphers migrate to fish and frogs. If you contain a multi-operator in the general aquarium, he can change his addictions.

If today he does not mind eating minnows or shrimps, then tomorrow he may have a snack with mollies, guppies and goldfish.

To eat a fish is not picky and eat what they give. Shrimp, small crayfish, forage goldfish, beef heart or meat and frozen krill can be given as feed.

In spite of the fact that multi-pans without any problems switch to dry feed, it is better not to keep them on such a diet for a long time. Just like other aquarium fish, multihoppers love to overeat, so you need to feed them no more than once a day or two.

And adults are less likely to feed.

The first lines about the breeding of mnogoperov in conditions of bondage appeared back in 1966, and the first printed information on this topic appeared 20 years later. To date, marble Bishir divorced on an industrial scale.

The main supplier of these fish is Indonesia and Thailand. In Indonesia, spawning help hormonal injections.

And the process of spawning is similar to the spawning of other members of this family. The male takes the calf in a bowl-shaped anal fin.

Then he fertilizes and sprays it on the ground.
