Christmas tree decoration Goldfish made of satin ribbons do-it-yourself master class New Year’s toy

Today we will make a kanzashi fish.

Every mommy wants to dress up her child beautifully. Dress, shoes, socks.

Everything must be beautifully combined and in harmony. And, of course, hair accessories.

All kinds of hairpins, bows, crocodiles, rezinochki … Now this magnificence can be found quite a lot.
But what to do if the baby stubbornly does not want to wear these hairpins? Resists and tries to remove them?
This is a whole disorder for moms. We have to wait for the baby to grow up and she wants to wear jewelry.
In such cases, it is possible to offer the child to wear something interesting and beautiful on the head, for example, a fish. Such a funny hairpin can interest a child and it is quite likely that he will agree to wear such a jewelry.

Moreover, such a fish can be made by yourself at home. And choose the color range that suits your outfit.

So let’s get down to work.

For the manufacture of kanzashi fish, we need:

1. Satin ribbons (ribbons 2.5 cm wide and 0.5 cm wide)
2. Cocktail Tubes
3. Candle
4. Clay Moment Gel or Glue Gun
5. Bead for the eye

Let’s start with the manufacture of the tail of the fish.
Making curls of ribbons.

Ways to twist the ribbon quite a lot, I will describe as I do.

We take the tubes for a cocktail, make a small slot at the top, insert the edge of the ribbon into it, then wind the ribbon on the tube. Fix the end of the tape with a thread or wire.

Next, pour the water into the pan and bring to a boil. Then we put into it the tubes with ribbons and boil for about 10 minutes.

Ribbons of different colors I boil separately.

After that, the tubes must be dried. They can be left to dry completely or blow-dry.

So, while the tubes are dry, let’s take a fish.

The whole fish is made from round kanzashi petals. How to make such petals you can see here.

These will be fish scales.

We make 12 white petals and 25 red.

Glue 5 white scales to each other – creating the head of the fish, then paste in them 5 red ones.

Then glue each “scale” between the two previous ones. The result should be 6 red rows.

Starting from the head of the fish, respectively, 5: 6: 5: 4: 3: 2 scales in a row.

Glue the two white round petals, cut off a little edge, and glue to the fish, making her mouth.

Making the upper fin. Glue the white petals into each other.

Now we collect all the details and glue the fish entirely.

Making the base with fastening.

To make a foundation, I took a piece of cardboard, cut it along the contour of the fish’s body.
Pasted on him the tape in tone. On the inside, added lace (this is optional).
I made two slots in which I inserted a rubber band. If desired, the necessary attachment can be glued directly to the base.
Plant the fish on the prepared base.

Adding claz – bead. Funny decoration – kanzashi fish is ready.

I hope this master class will be useful to you.

MK: “Golden Fish”

He began to click the goldfish,

A fish swam up to him and asked:

“What do you want, older?”

With her bow, the old man replies:

“I want an interior sculpture to the palace to my old woman …”

This master class is dedicated to the manufacture of interior sculpture.

How I did it:

– I draw a rough sketch of the future fish

– I make a stand from available materials (board, piece of chipboard, plywood, etc.), in this case I used plywood 12mm moisture resistant.

– I drew an arbitrary shape on plywood and sawed it with a jigsaw, slightly sanded so that there were no burrs.

Since the large fish was necessary to make the frame.

– In a plywood base, I drill a through hole with a diameter of 8 mm (under the hairpin) and from the back side I make sweat sufficient for the nut to be recessed at the base.

– I fasten the threaded stud (diameter depends on the size of the future sculpture) with two nuts and washers.

– Next up the studs secured a direct suspension with nuts and washers.

– On the created frame, I form the volume of future fish with the help of a bandage (or napkins) soaked in a solution of sculpted gypsum.

– Now I make frames for the tail and fins from copper wire or any suitable one, for example, aluminum. The options for attaching the wire to each other can be different (soldering, knitting, etc.), I glued the wire with a glue gun.

– In the same way I make a frame for the crown.

– I outline the attachment points of the fins and tail in accordance with the sketch and drill holes in the body of the fish for fixing the frames, which I then add to the desired volume using napkins soaked in a plaster jelly.

– The blank is well dried and ground (PVA glue diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 4, 1: 5).

– I draw rows with scales on a pig and designate the places where the eyes, mouth, nostrils, and other details of the fish will be located.

The preparatory stage is over.

– I start the modeling, for this purpose I used ceramiplast (ceramiplast-plastic mass for modeling based on natural clay with the addition of plasticizers).

– Consistently fix rows of scales from tail to head, thus covering the body of the fish completely. When working with ceramiplast, I wet the parts with water or diluted with glue primer.

– Next, proceed to the formation of fins and tail.

– Give the head of the fish desired shape.

– In places where the eyes will be located I drill holes to install glass beads on half of its volume and fix it with a glue gun.

– Modifying the remaining mustache, eyelids and other small Circuits.

– I make the tail, rolling out and consistently imposing on the frame thin flagella from kerimplast, I do not forget to moisten the workpiece in glue primer.

– Then I proceed to the crown, on the finished frame I apply the required volume in thin layers.

Everything is ready for the last stage – decoration.

– Carefully ground fish, crown glue primer, waiting for everything to dry out well.

– I turn to the coloring of the fish. For reliable adhesion of the subsequent decorative paint layer (acrylic gold) ground fish and crown.

I used a spray acrylic paint (primer). This procedure is best performed outdoors or in the back of a well-ventilated room.

– After the ground is completely dry, I proceed to the final part – painting the fish with golden decorative acrylic paint.

– I fix the result, covering the fish with an acrylic gloss varnish.

For convenience, you can use acrylic lacquer in a spray can.

– At the base of the fish I form a decorative composition of seashells, glass beads, sea pebbles and other decorative elements to impart completeness to the “Goldfish” image.

That’s the whole simple technology of creating decorative interior sculpture with your own hands.

My collection of fish:

By the above technology, you can independently

to bring to life any of your ideas.

Thanks for attention,

If you have any questions, I will be glad to answer.
