One male and 3-4 females are planted for spawning. Breeding water: GH up to 6 °; pH of about 6.0; t 23-25 ​​° C. Carbonate stiffness is minimal.

An infusion of peat or alder seedlings is added to the water. As plants are commonly used Thai fern. On the bottom pour boiled peat chips.

Once every 7-10 days, the eggs are sieved and laid for incubation for 6-7 weeks in moist peat in a Petri dish or a glass jar. After incubation, eggs are poured with fresh water with GH values ​​and pH for dilution water, but with a temperature of 18-20 ° C. Fish hatching occurs within 2-3 hours, they immediately begin to feed.

Fish reach sexual maturity in 1.5 months.
