Danio pink: content, compatibility, breeding, photo-video review

This article depicts and describes the pink, artificial breed danio rerio! True danios pink looks like this:

Order, family: Carp.

Comfortable water temperature: 21-25 ° C

Ph: ph 6.5–7.5, water hardness: 5-15 °.

Aggressiveness: not aggressive.

Compatibility Danio Pink: compatible with all “peaceful fish”: danios, terence, minor, tetra, scalar, soma, etc.

Useful tips: In my opinion the most beautiful fish of the kind “danok.” Look great flock, on a dark (blue) background of the aquarium film. Fishes quick and gregarious.

They can coexist with many species of fish, even with fish of medium and increased aggression: scalar, goura and even with small cichlids.

In order that the pink color of the fish was juicy, I recommend to buy specialized food (for example, Tetra-color).

Danio pink lives in the slowly flowing waters of Southeast Asia.

A small fish with a body length of up to 4.5 cm. The body is elongated, flattened laterally. Body of fish beautiful pink, along which alternate white stripes pass.

Fins transparent, colorless.

Fish are kept in the aquarium flock (from 6 copies). Danio pink contain in general aquarium with a length of 60 cm and a volume of 20 liters. The decorations of the aquarium can act – thickets and floating plants, stones, snags.

Fishes also need free space for swimming.

Comfortable water parameters: temperature 21-25 ° С, dh 5-15 °, ph 6.5–7.5, regular weekly water changes (1/5) will have a positive effect on the health of the fish. Need filtering and aeration.

Feeding Danio Aquarium Fish must be correct: balanced, diverse. This fundamental rule is the key to successful keeping of any fish, be it guppies or astronotuses.

Article “How and how much to feed aquarium fish” talks in detail about this, it outlines the basic principles of the diet and feeding regime of fish.

In this article, we note the most important thing – feeding fish should not be monotonous; both dry and live food should be included in the diet. In addition, you need to take into account the gastronomic preferences of a particular fish and, depending on this, include in its diet ration either with the highest protein content or vice versa with vegetable ingredients.

Popular and popular feed for fish, of course, are dry food. For example, hourly and everywhere can be found on the aquarium shelves of food company “Tetra” – the leader of the Russian market, in fact, the range of feeds of this company is striking.

In the “gastronomic arsenal” of Tetra are included as individual feeds for a certain type of fish: for goldfish, for cichlids, for loricarids, guppies, labyrinths, arovan, discus, etc. Also, Tetra has developed specialized foods, for example, for enhancing color, fortified or for feeding fry.

Detailed information on all Tetra feeds, you can find on the official website of the company – here.

It should be noted that when buying any dry food, you should pay attention to the date of its production and shelf life, try not to buy food by weight, and also keep the food in a closed state – this will help avoid the development of pathogenic flora in it.

Danio rerio (lat. Brachydanio rerio, today – Danio rerio) is a freshwater fish that belongs to the carp family.

The species received a scientific description in 1822. Today, zebrafish are popular aquarium fish that can be kept at home. In danios fish natural habitat – water bodies of Southeast Asia.

They prefer rivers, lakes and canals with a slow current.

They swim in the upper layers of water, plying between stalks of aquatic plants and herbs that hang in the water. Zebrafish feed on small invertebrates, insect larvae. Spawning occurs with a change in water temperature during the rainy season.

Fish eggs fall on the thickets of aquatic vegetation, for them it is a safe place.

These fish do not need a spacious aquarium, although they will feel more comfortable in it. However, if there is no such possibility, then in a small container of 4-5 liters up to 5-6 danios, who never divide the territory and do not arrange demonstration fights, can perfectly get on.

The maximum that these tropical minxes are capable of is a long and exciting game.

And, as a rule, mostly males take part in them, who like to chase each other. It should also be borne in mind that danios are great jumpers, so the aquarium should be constantly closed with a special lid with air holes, otherwise your pets will soon be outside.

But you need to remember that you need to leave at least 5 cm between the lid and the surface of the water, otherwise some of your pets risk simply breaking during their enchanting somersaults.

Danio is committed not demanding to temperature, and if you forget to take care of water heating, then nothing terrible will happen. Fish feel equally good both at +15 degrees and at +30. However, the best option if the temperature in the aquarium will still be maintained at + 21-25 degrees.

But its purity is crucial for the fish, so every week the contents of the aquarium will have to be updated at least 20-30%. Well, and general cleaning should be carried out at least 1 time per month, for which danios will be very grateful to you.

These fish live in the upper and middle layers of water. However, this does not mean that they never sink to the bottom. On the contrary, this is where they seek shelter when they need privacy, or they hide from dangerous neighbors, preferring to avoid conflicts.

Therefore, the bottom of the aquarium should be filled with a fairly thick layer of light soil, which is planted with dense low-growing algae. But at the same time it is worthwhile to leave a few free and well-organized places for playing fish.

An aquarium with danios does not require additional aeration, but it still needs constant lighting. Light day for these fish is at least 10-12 hours.

If you ignore this requirement, then danios will become sluggish and sedentary, and their luxurious striped color will noticeably fade.

For spawning you need to choose a female and several males (2-3 pieces). Put them all at night in a spawning aquarium and wait for the process.

If the conditions in the spawning are suitable, then in the morning the female will begin to spawn. The spawning process is accompanied by active pursuit by males of the female until they break out of the portion of eggs from it. As soon as the eggs fall out under the plants, the males begin to fertilize them immediately.

This procedure will occur until the female completely loses all of her calf. At the end of this race, the males look calm and fairly tired, while the female loses the roundness of her abdomen.

After spawning is completed, the producers are removed from the spawn. For one litter, the female can produce about 200 eggs, and for them to survive, it is important to add antifungal agents to the aquarium.

As an option, you can apply a two-percent solution of iodine (3 fell to 10 liters of water) or 10 liters of water to 25,000 units of penicillin. After two days, the eggs should ripen and the larvae will appear on the light, which freeze and attach themselves to everything.

This will happen within 6 days.

As the last 6 days of immobile hovering, the fry are formed from the larvae, which are first fed by infusoria. After a couple of days, you can give lively dust, and after a week add artemia and cyclops to the diet. If the filtration is satisfactory, you can also give small, dry feed.

As young animals mature, soldering should be increased. Start with the chimney and cyclops, and then gradually lower the water temperature and increase the water level.

Danio rerio is compatible with scalars, males, soms, corridors, gourami and guppies, battles and mollies, patsils, iris, rassets, labo, swordtails, tetras.
Limited compatible: with eels and shrimps, barbs.
Incompatible: with cichlids, discus, goldfish, Koi carps, astronotus.FEEDINGIn general, FISHING DANIO is very unpretentious in the diet.

So many owners do not worry too long and feed their fish exclusively with dry food. Yes, fish can easily live like this all their lives and give offspring, but in this case their immunity decreases, which means that they are more susceptible to diseases and also grow much slower.

Therefore, it is desirable if you do not feed them with one live food, then at least regularly to bring it into the diet of fish.

Danio rerio has a narrow, long body. This aquarium fish is able to reach 5 cm in length.

In the corners of the mouth there is a pair of small antennae directed downwards. The body runs several parallel stripes, painted in yellow, yellowish-green or black and blue. The strips begin near the gill covers and stretch across the whole body to the fin.

A distinctive feature of females – stripes in the middle of the abdomen thicken, becoming narrower to the tail and head. The female has a more dense abdomen.

The rest of the fins are yellowish white.

Danio rerio fish unpretentious. These fish are able to live even in very small aquariums.

In the aquarium of 5 liters, you can inhabit about 5 fish. They prefer to live in flocks and stay in the upper layers of water. It is necessary to close the aquarium cover.

Danio is extremely shy and able to jump out of the water. Males are very playful.

A true pleasure to watch their catch-up games. Part of the aquarium is required to plant. A place for free swimming requires considerable.

Since the aquarium will contain a large number of plants, it should be well lit.

Temperature control for these fish is not important. The danio rerio feel equally comfortable at both 15 and 30 degrees.

However, if you decide to start breeding danios, then you should remember that their reproductive qualities increase at a temperature of 25 degrees.

Any dry will suit as food, thoroughly ground before feeding. Either lively small food is also suitable.

Order, family: Carp.

Comfortable water temperature: 20-24 ° C.

Ph: ph 6.5–7.5.

Aggressiveness: not aggressive.

Compatibility Danio rerio: compatible with all “peaceful fish”: danios, terence, minor, tetra, scalar, soma, etc.

Useful tips: Very common fish. Fishes quick and gregarious.

They can coexist with many species of fish, even with fish of medium and increased aggression: scalar, goura and even with small cichlids.

The zebrafish has an oblong body shape, along which yellow-green alternate with dark blue stripes. At one time, there were quite lively disputes – what color is primary and which is additional.

ViewDanio rerio

Now it is considered that the color is yellow-green with a metallic luster, and 4-5 dark blue stripes are walking along the body. This statement is confirmed by the existence of a leopard variety.

Young representatives have short fins. But as they grow, they become voile. The fins give their owners an enchanting look.

The edges of the voile fins may have a yellow color.

In the wild, adults reach 6–7 cm. Aquarium dwellers, as a rule, are 4.5–5 centimeters.

It is advisable to keep flocks of at least seven to ten fish.

Males are somewhat slimmer than females, and also have more saturated colors. Females have a more rounded abdomen especially after puberty.

Keeps most of the time in the middle, upper layers. Life expectancy is about three years.

Sometimes with good content they live to five years. They become sexually mature when they reach the age of six to eight months.

Reproduction also takes place without any difficulties. But the fish is this – fawning.

Therefore, without preliminary preparation is not enough.

About a week before spawning, males should be separated from females and kept separate from each other. The female from the male can be distinguished by a more rounded abdomen and a less saturated color of the yellow-green stripes.

Before spawning, producers need to be abundantly fed, preferably with a chowder.

Spawning can serve as an aquarium with a volume of 10 liters (in extreme cases – the usual three-liter jar). Cover the bottom with luster, peristolistnikom or fontinalis.

I also had positive results with the usual elodea. Plants gently press down with small pebbles so that they do not rise to the surface. You can also use a grid that has cells of such size that the eggs freely pass through them.

But its cells should be cramped for manufacturers.

Water should be fresh settled for at least 2 days. Temperature 24 – 26 degrees Celsius.

She poured a layer of about 5 centimeters above the plants.

In the evening two males (maybe three) and one female are planted in the spawning prepared in this way. The readiness of the female for breeding is indicated by a thickened abdomen near the anal fin.

Capacity put on a well-lit window. Danio rerio reproduction begins in the morning when the first rays of the sun fall on the breeding ground.

The female can sweep 50 to 400 eggs at a time.

If spawning did not happen on the first morning, the producers need to be held in the spawning area for another day after feeding them with small bloodworms. If now there was no spawning.

That males need to be transplanted from females and after 3-4 days to plant again to spawn.

There is one peculiarity – if the spawned female is not planted again to spawn in 7-10 days, then it can lose the ability to reproduce.

After the end of spawning, manufacturers should be precipitated, and half of the water should be replaced with fresh settled, of the same composition, of the same temperature.

After about 3-4 days from the eggs the larvae appear, which for several days hang on the glass jars. They have the appearance of strings with thickened heads.

After a few days, the fry begin to swim. As soon as the fry swim they need to be given ciliates, rotifers, nauplii Artemia.

If the feed is very tense, you can feed up boiled egg yolk boiled in steep water. You only need to give it very carefully in small portions, as it spoils the aquatic environment very much.

The results will be somewhat worse.

As the fry grows, food for them can and should be enlarged. For the older fry, small crustaceans can be given – daphnia, cyclops.

Grown fry as they grow must be transferred to a more spacious vessel.

As you can see, this representative of the underwater kingdom can be a worthy decoration of the general aquarium of a novice aquarist. A flock of these fidgets can revive any underwater landscape.

Danio rerio fish resistant to disease. If you do not create extreme conditions, they will long please your eyes with their endless game.
