Keep in standing and slowly flowing water.

The body is slender, stretched in length, flattened out laterally. 1-2 pairs of antennae.
The tail fin is two-bladed.

The fish are peaceful, gregarious, very mobile, jumping, they like light and transparent water rich in oxygen.

It can be kept in a common aquarium closed from above, in which, along with plants, there should be enough free space for swimming.

Feed: live, substitutes.

Before planting for spawning, males and females are kept 7-10 days apart and are well fed with live food. You can spawn a couple for spawning, but 2 males and 1 females or a group of fish with a predominance of males are best.
