Lighting like muffled. We need plants that form dense thickets, including floating to create shady areas.

From decorative elements – snags, stones, caves. Soil can be any, but on dark hasemaniya looks brighter and more spectacular.

Water parameters: 22-28 ° C, pH 6.2-7.5, dGh 4-12.

Active filtration with aeration, substitution of a third of water weekly.

Stress resistant, creepy and curious Hasemania Nana or Copper Tetra (Hasemania Nana) gets on well with many species: haracin fish, iris, both large and small, danios, lyalius, rasvorami, gourami, guppies, scalars, tetras, barbs, discus, bottom creatures, as well as African and banana filter feeders, cherry shrimps and shrimps Amano

Can not be kept with aggressive species, for example with cichlids.

Nutrition: feed in the middle layer, but can move sharply and rapidly, taking food floating on the surface. They are very active when they are hungry, but instantly cease to show interest in the feeder after saturation. They are not demanding and take all kinds of food, but prefer small living ones – carriage, daphnia, enkhitreyu, bloodworms, cyclops.

Tubing from the diet of copper tetra must be excluded.

Reproduction: It is possible to breed Hasemania Nana by launching a flock of fish or one pair into the spawn. In the first case, the volume of the tank should be 40-50, in the second enough 10-15 liters. Water level up to 25 cm.

From the plants will need a few peristolistnika bushes or Spanish lichen.

Water parameters in the spawning aquarium: 25-27 ° C, pH 6.0-6.5, dH to 8.

To stimulate spawning, producers are kept separately for 2 weeks, they are strongly fed with live food, preferably daphnia, and they substitute 60% of water with a simultaneous increase in temperature.

Fish are launched into the aquarium in the evening, and in the morning they begin spawning. The female lays 350-400 dark brown eggs.

Copper tetras eat caviar and therefore settle out after spawning.

Whitened eggs should be immediately removed from spawning for reasons of cleanliness.

The incubation period lasts a day, and on the fifth day, the young are able to swim and take food: rotifers, nematodes, and ciliates. At two weeks of age, Nauplii Artemia and Cyclops are added to the diet.

The water level when growing fry Hasemania Nana should be 12 cm. Mandatory daily substitution of a tenth of water and enhanced filtration with aeration.

Hasemania Nana or the Copper Tetra (Hasemania Nana) lives in an aquarium about 4 years.
