Veilstail (Carassius auratus veiltail) – One of the most common goldfish that adorn many aquariums. The oval tail has an ovoid-shaped body, a rather large head with large eyes. Interestingly, among these fish you can find not only fish with golden scales, but also completely scaleless individuals.
The color of representatives of this species varies from golden hue to rich black or red, there are also spotted forms, the body and fins of which are painted in different shades.

Anal and tail fins long enough. The tail consists of several accreted fins, which resemble a veil very much – they also hang softly and beautifully. There are individuals whose tail size is several times larger than the size of the body.
The length of the body of fish can exceed 20 centimeters.

Veiltails can consume not only live and dry food, but also plants – pre-scalded nettle leaves and lettuce.

For spawning voilekhvostov need an aquarium, a volume of 20-30 liters, with small-leaved plants and sandy soil. A female and two or three males are planted in the spawning ground. First, the water temperature can be maintained at 24-26 degrees, then gradually increase to 30-32.
The female voilehvosta throws eggs, males fertilize them, after which they are deposited. Fry that will appear in 3-5 days can be fed with rotifers, artemia, infusoria and other living dust.

- A veiltail may have a different color: in addition to red and gold shades, there may be pearl and milky-white colors, very rare – black voile tails;
- The most valuable individuals – with a long tail, they can consist of 3 or even 4 accrete fins.
