Lyabioza (Trichogaster labiosus Day, 1877) is one of the labyrinth fish species from the subfamily Lucyocephaline, the Ephronomean family, the order perch-shaped. Treats widespread aquarium small fishes.
In appearance, it resembles lyalius, but somewhat larger than it (7-8 cm). The color of the male lubias is similar to lalius, but if the lalius is blue, the color is bright and azure, then the spots and stripes on the body of the lubias are just dark blue, and the red stripes are wider, not so elegant and have a red-brown shade. In general, the lyabiosis looks coarser than the lyalius, but they are easier to keep and breed.
Labiosis feels relatively normal at room temperature in unheated water and is more noticeable in the general aquarium than other labyrinth fish.
The female is painted paler, the dorsal fin is rounded, not pointed, as in the male. The thoracic filiform fins of the female are bluish in color, while in the males they are reddish.
Spawning temperature 28-30 ° C. Depth spawning 12-15 cm.
The nest is built from bubbles “foam” and crushed fish aquarium plants Riccia.
The development of caviar lasts about two days. The female is deposited immediately after spawning, the male – after the fry spread out of the nest. You can buy Lyabioza in a specialized nursery.
The price of fry Lyabiozy can be found on the bulletin board.
